Writer's block... I'm finding it very difficult to come up with anything important enough to make time to write up in my blog. Maybe it's because I don't totally love the current format, but am too lazy or too busy or don't care enough to learn how to modify it on my own. Jason's the man to edit the format for me, and I'm sure that if I were really keen on posting anything of interest, he'd hook me up. But, since my blog just kind of sits out here like a drying dog turd, why would he be interested in putting any effort towards tweaking the fonts and format to my liking? Guess I'm more of a responder to things other people post - they usually get me thinking, or in some people's case, riled up - than a truly creative genius. We'll see how things work out from here. 1/30/2004 05:11:00 PM by Todd Bacon 0 comments Monday, January 26, 2004Starting the day Awoke around 5:45, got ready, read The Weekly Standard as my hair gel froze, waiting for the car to dethaw - this took 20 minutes. Met the guys from Wild at Heart at Bob Evans.

I sure don't. Hopefully Dean will run away with the Democratic nomination because I think he's the least electable. On the other hand, perhaps I should be rooting for the most conservative candidate in the horrific event that President Bush is defeated in November. 1/19/2004 11:06:00 AM by Todd Bacon 0 comments Men's Group Started meeting "regularly" with the guys who were in my group during the "Wild at Heart" study. Based on the selected locale for this mornings meeting you'd think everyone in my group was 50 years old or above - Bob Evans. Six of the seven guys who showed interest in hooking up were there: Gary Monroe, Jeff Cazel, Tim O'Brien, Rob Poole, Scott Laugel and myself. Allen Beliles had indicated he would be there, but didn't make it. Nearly everyone has expressed interest in helping out during the next Wild at Heart study at CFC which is starting on Feb 3rdish. (I recommend taking this course - and working through the workbook.) It's kind of funny how different personality styles deal with a new "men's get-together." We have a couple guys who are all lion personality and have a structured, focused, let's acccomplish something mentality. Then there are the otters who just want to meet up for the fellowship and comraderie. I'm pretty much the beaver personality who brings the notepad and pen and plans on e-mailing everyone about our next meeting. Anyway, we're still trying to figure out why we should continue to meet. All I know is that meeting up with a group of Christian brothers in the name of our Lord is a great way to start off the day!
