Inspiring story
In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day. Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man. Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed the stupid idiot against the railing, killing him instantly. Probably wasn't the same elephant.

Wunderkind
To listen go to www.seeqpod.com, search for wunderkind... it's alanis morissette from the Narnia soundtrack....
I love the line about being a princess on the way to her throne... we are all princes/princesses, children of the True King, on our way to worship together at His throne! And even better, we are destined to reign with Him! Awesome indeed.
Oh perilous place Walk backwards toward you Blink disbelieving eyes chilled to the bone Most visibly brave No apprehended gloom First to take this foot to virgin snow
I am a magnet for all kinds of deeper wonderment I am a wunderkind ohwowoh I live the envelope pushed far enough to believe this I am a princess on the way to my throne destined to serve destined to roam
Oh ominous place Spellbound and un-childproofed My least favorite chill to bear alone
Compatriots in place They’d cringe if I told you Our best back pocket secret: our bond full blown
I am a magnet for all kinds of deeper wonderment I am a wunderkind ohwowoh I am a pioneer naïve enough to believe this I am a princess on the way to my throne destined to seek destined to know
Most beautiful place Reborn and blown off roof My view: about face whether, great will be done
I am a magnet for all kinds of deeper wonderment I am a wunderkind ohwowoh I am a groundbreaker naïve enough to believe this I am a princess on the way to my throne
I am a magnet for all kinds of deeper wonderment I am a wunderkind ohwowoh I am a Joan of Arc and smart enough to believe this I am a princess on the way to my throne
Destined to reign, destined to roam Destined to reign, destined to roam Ohahahoohah Ohahahoohah Destined to reign, destined to roam Destined to reign, destined to roam Destined to reign, destined to roam Destined to reign, destined to roam

Proud to be of the opposite party
NEW YORK CITY — Former President Jimmy Carter is reportedly preparing an unprecedented meeting with the leader of Hamas, an organization that the U.S. government considers one of the leading terrorist threats in the world.
The Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter was planning a trip to Syria for mid-April, during which he would meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on April 18.
Deanna Congileo, Carter’s press secretary, confirmed in an e-mail to FOXNews.com that Carter will be in the Mideast in April. Pressed for comment, Congileo did not deny that the former president is considering visiting Meshal.
“President Carter is planning a trip to the Mideast next week; however, we are still confirming details of the trip and will issue a press release by the end of this week,” wrote Congileo. “I cannot confirm any specific meetings at this point in time.”
Meshal, who lives in Syria to avoid being arrested by the Israeli government, leads Hamas from his seat in Damascus, where he is a guest of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
The State Department has designated Hamas a "foreign terrorist organization," and some groups hold Meshal personally responsible for ordering the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack once said of the prospect of meeting with Meshal, "That's not something that we could possibly conceive of."
Some Carter critics called the latest reports typical of the ex-president.
“It’s about par for the course from President Carter, demonstrating a lack of judgment typical of what he does," said John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. "To go to Syria to visit Hamas at this point is just an ill-timed, ill-advised decision on his part."
“I’m not surprised that Carter would do this, as he has been supporting Palestinian extremism for many years,” said Steve Emerson, director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, a watchdog group.
Carter would be the first Western leader of his stature to meet with the Hamas chief. Though Meshal met with Clinton officials in the 1990s, the Bush administration has sought to isolate Hamas, enforcing rigid sanctions on its government in Gaza and refusing to meet with its leaders unless it recognizes Israel and abandons terror.
“I think this [visit] undermines the U.S. policy of isolating Hamas,” said Emerson. “I think this encourages Europeans to further dilute their sanctions against the Hamas government.”
"When you put the prestige of a former president of the United States in a meeting with one of its terrorist leaders, you’re giving it a legitimacy and currency it never had,” said Bolton.
But Ibrahim Hooper, communications director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a non-profit advocacy group, said Carter's efforts demonstrate he's a true partner in peace.
“I think if true, this report would indicate that President Carter is willing to travel any road in search of peace,” he said. “I think President Carter would only undertake such a mission if he believed that something could be achieved in terms of peace and reconciliation in the region.”
Hooper added that because of Carter's reputation among Palestinians he might be able to bring some pressure to bear.
“Obviously President Carter has a great amount of credibility in the region because of his past efforts seeking peace internationally,” Hooper said.
The Al-Hayat report stated that Carter would be traveling in his capacity as head of the Carter Center, and not in his capacity as a former president.
“That’s a distinction that’s absurd,” said Emerson.
“Maybe he’ll give up his pension, but he’s always a former president,” said Bolton.

Obama
Thought you might be interested in what Obama stands for... since the change he enacts may not be the CHANGE YOU WANT or BELIEVE IN!! Following is from a forwarded e-mail I received regarding Bill Brown. "He is a highly respected retired member of the Billy Graham team. (His wife is the British actress who was in one of the Billy Graham films. She is also an author.) So I take his assessment of Obama very seriously and for that reason accept his challenge to pass this on. I share his concern about the "rock star" image Obama has and watch with growing concern at the celebrity status the media has foisted upon him. I hope this email informs you in a wise way."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are witnessing a political phenomenon with Barack Obama of rare magnitude. His speeches have inspired millions and yet most of his followers have no idea of what he stands for except platitudes of "Change" or that he says he will be a "Uniter". The power of speech from a charismatic person truly can be a powerful thing. Certainly Billy Graham had charisma and both his manner of speech and particularly the content changed millions. On the extreme other hand, the charisma of Adolph Hitler inspired millions and the results were catastrophic. Barack Obama certainly is no Hitler or a Billy Graham, but for many Americans out there feeling just like a surfer who might be ecstatic and euphoric while riding a tidal wave, the real story is what happens when it hits shore.
Just Some of What Defines Barack Obama:
· He voted against banning partial " birth abortion. · He voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. · Supports affirmative action in Colleges and Government. · In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing. · Says he will deal with street level drug dealing as minimum wage affair. · Admitted marijuana and cocaine use in high school and in college. · His religious convictions are very murky. · He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. · Has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim nations. · Opposed the Patriot Act. · First bill he signed that was passed was campaign finance reform. · Voted No on prohibiting law suits against gun manufacturers. · Supports universal health-care. · Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees. · Supports granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. · Supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants. · Voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform. · Voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. · Wants to make the minimum wage a "living wage". · Voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes. · Is a big believer in the separation of church and state. · Opposed to any efforts to Privatize Social Security and instead supports increasing the amount of tax paid. · He voted No on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax · He voted No on repealing the "Death" Tax · He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax. · Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded. · He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today and that takes some doing.
If your political choices are consistent with Barack Obama's and you think that his positions will bring America together or make it a better place, then you will probably enjoy the ride and not forward this Email. If you are like most Americans that after examining what he stands for, are truly not in line with his record, it would be prudent to get off the wave or better yet, never get on, before it comes on shore and undermines the very foundations of this great Country. We have limited time to save America or the Supreme Court as we know it. Inaction is action.
If you agree this is important, pass it on. The mainstream media will not do it for you!
