2 Thessalonians 2:9

If deception is increasing and we know less about the bible, then that is pretty dangerous.
We must have discernment like the Bereans - we must search the scriptures to see that we are accurate and biblical.
It is very dangerous to walk through this world without knowing the Word of God. We know there are sharks in the water, God's Word tells us this is the case.

Indiana Bible Conference 2006 - Brick Wall Doctrine
1 Corinthians 15:3-6
3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Peter,[b] and then to the Twelve.
Brick Wall Doctrine - issues of "first importance" - if one disagrees, then we cannot call that person a brother or sister in Christ (my notes, from Dave Miller's teaching)
1. God's Word is true
2. Our triune God is sovereign
3. Mankind is sinful
4. Jesus is our risen Savior and Lord
5. Salvation is by grace through faith alone
6. Jesus is coming again
