Shark Jumping
History will tell when he officially jumped the shark, but it's definitely happened.
Re: Tom Cruise - Asked in an interview with the tabloid daily Bild if he believed in aliens, Cruise said: "Yes, of course. Are you really so arrogant as to believe we are alone in this universe?

Pit Bull Owner
More on the lady who locked her son in the basement to protect him from the aggressive male pit bull while she went shopping rather than just taking her son WITH HER!

Joseph Smith
"Come on, ye persecutors! ye false swearers! All hell, boil over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! For I will come out on the top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet." -Joseph Smith, Founder of Mormonism. Almost exactly one month after this boast, on June 27, 1844, he was killed by his enemies in a gun battle at Carthage Jail.

How do these things happen?
Jason sent an e-mail to some of the guys in our Tuesday night Ephesians study, with links to his blog, my blog, John Boggeman's blog and a picture of the fact that Andre the Giant has a posse. I didn't quite understand that, but decided to reply with a real picture of a good old-fashioned cowboy posse. I was eager to point out the fact that Andre the Giant was one of the finest actors of our time, and decided to include proof of this opinion.
Also had to include this one since I came across it on the same soundbytes website.

Excellent...we're going!
Frazier Museum in Louisville
June 25, 2005 is FREE ADMISSION. Welcome to an unforgettable journey through history that spans 1000 years and two great continents.
The Frazier Museum tells the complete American story - not the abridged version that begins in Jamestown with the colonists, but a larger story that begins in Europe some 600 years earlier. No other museum can tell this story like The Frazier.
June 25th: The Great Key Caper Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm FREE ADMISSON! Search for the suspects, participate in activities and be entertained throughout the day, then join us at 1:30pm for The Great Key Caper. Help us solve the mystery as you witness a lineup of notorious characters from the past; hopefully the keys to the museum will be found!
Bring this card to register for the grand prize reward. One lucky winner will receive two roundtrip tickets to London, hotel accommodations, and a private tour of the Tower of London.

Blog
I like to read everyone else's blog much more than actually contributing anything to my own.
Saturday I mowed a bit (Jenny finished the majority) before I had to be at Camp Reveal to help out during Barnabas ministries "Challenge" obstacle course. I was at the last station where the teams had to work together to get a balloon that was pretty high up in the tree, then I talked them through a sort of debriefing about different parts of the course and how they had to work together, overcome some fears, etc.
We went to the Otters game Saturday evening and they lost. But, it was free. We survived spending only $1.50 for a small coke (really wanted the cup of ice) and $3.00 for the kids to split a bucket of cotton candy. All in all, that ain't bad.
Jeff Barnett had came back with me from the obstacle course and had attended the Otters game with us. After the game, instead of driving him back to Newburgh, decided it would be easier for Jeff to just stay at our place. We got back from the game, prayed with the kids and got them into bed. Then Jenny and went to see Revenge of the Sith while Jeff stayed at the house for us! Enjoyed the time out - I rarely dislike any movie-going experience; but was sort of disappointed from the reviews I had been hearing. I really liked the last 10 or 15 minutes, and the rest was enjoyable, but it was nowhere near fascinating or exhilarating. Obi-Wan and Padme were very good. Palpatine/Darth Sidious was the best actor in the entire film hands down. I'm glad it's nearly over... now I just need to take the kids once it's at the cheap theatre...then we need to watch the "first three" again to finish out the sequence.
Service at church on Sunday was powerful as usual. We met my friend Stewart Howard who I used to work with at Hoosier Stamping. His wife Terri had to work and couldn't make it. Stewart indicated that the teaching was the best part. Pastor Dave and the Holy Spirit, hooking another one hopefully!
Started a Flickr account today. We'll see if I bother with taking the time to figure out how to upload some pics. We have some good ones to share, but I'm lazy when it comes to learning new things. I figured out how to copy vhs movies onto my computer at home and then turn appropriate format and burn to dvd awhile back... went at that like crazy and burned several. Then got burned out and haven't done any since.
I'd like to get our pool up in our backyard, but the yard isn't level and I don't feel like hiring someone or renting the appropriate equipment to get 'er done.
We have Holiday World season passes, but who has the time to drive to Holiday World? We'll get there eventually this summer. New wave pool should be a blast. Jenny and I saw a show on the Travel Channel about waterparks last night. They barely touched on Holiday World's awesome park (they have nearly everything that any of the other parks mentioned had to offer - other than those real tall, straight down speed slides), but they did mention that Otorango? or whatever that black enclosed slide is at Holiday World is the largest enclosed waterslide in the world.
Evan Bayh says it's too early to make a decision about whether he'll run for President in 2008. Whatever. I think he'd have a very tough time even winning Indiana.
I'm done.
