Tipping the scale
Okay. So Brad Ellsworth may be a great guy. I've never met him. People talk about how he is pro-life, anti gun control, anti gay marriage. Great.
But here is the bigger picture - when you elect a Democrat, be they conservative, centrist, moderate - you tip the scale on the national level to put MUCH different Democrats at the helm.
If there are more Democrats than Republicans, then you get liberal bed-wetting, weak on defense, pro gay marriage, pro abortion turds in charge of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Check out the stellar record of the woman who pushes the agenda and gets the face time with the national media, thereby greatly influencing our nation:
Nancy Pelosi:
a.. Voted YES on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Jan 2007) b.. Voted YES on allowing human embryonic stem cell research. (May 2005) c.. Voted NO on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions. (Apr 2005) d.. Voted NO on making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime. (Feb 2004) e.. Voted NO on banning partial-birth abortion except to save mother's life. (Oct 2003) f.. Voted NO on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research. (Feb 2003) g.. Voted NO on funding for health providers who don't provide abortion info. (Sep 2002) h.. Voted NO on banning Family Planning funding in US aid abroad. (May 2001) i.. Voted NO on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes. (Apr 2001) j.. Voted NO on banning partial-birth abortions. (Apr 2000) k.. Voted NO on barring transporting minors to get an abortion. (Jun 1999) l.. Rated 100% by NARAL, indicating a pro-choice voting record. (Dec 2003) m.. Supported funding contraception and UN family planning. (Jul 1999)
