Elephants good; Donkeys bad.

Men's Life

It appears that "Men's Life" ministry, headed up by Rick Riley, based around the CFC body is not to be. Rick received very little positive response regarding financial support from the body he was trying to serve full-time, but the man needs to pay his bills while doing what he's called to do/feels passionate about. So, he interviewed for a full-time position at First Christian Church in Newburgh. Regarding the interview Rick asked us, "Have you ever studied for a test and after taking it come away saying, 'Man, that was a slam dunk.'?" He subsequently offered this job and it seems to be exactly where Rick should be. The church is very focused on "men's ministry" and getting the men involved and passionate about relationships with other believers and strengthening their relationship with the Lord. Bottom line: good for Rick and First Christian Church, bummer for "Men's Life"/Band of Brothers/men's ministry at CFC. Of course, God is in control and He'll work it all out - who knows what/who He plans on doing/using at CFC.
