So, my lovely wife and I and another couple are heading out tomorrow morning around 8:00 am for the long haul to Sandusky, Ohio. I've heard it's about a seven hour drive. I've heard it's about a 9 hour drive. I'll keep good time and confirm the actual drive time for our trip.
This trip was instigated by one of Jenny's best friends who wanted to surprise her and take her to Cedar Point (incredible roller-coaster park) for her birthday - (Jen turns 30 on July 22nd). Plans fell through and it was assumed that the trip was cancelled. Another friend who was part of the mix to attend the all-gals trip asked if the trip was still a go and kept things alive (thankfully). So now it's just the two couples making the trek tomorrow.
We hope to arrive at the park by the 5:00 pm "Starlight" entry time. Then we'll close the park down, attempting to ride as many of their roller-coasters as possible. The plan isn't set in stone as to what to do during the day on Saturday, but the girls have mentioned a water park. In that case, it will probably be best for us to go ahead and get the two day "Ride and Slide" passes so that we can go to the Cedar Point water park and the Coaster park on Saturday. With those tickets you can jump back and forth if you like.
Our three littluns are being dispersed among our incredible network of friends and family. The oldest, Jacob (6 at the end of July), is staying with Jenny's parents - better known as Memaw and Papaw. He's stoked. The beautiful and intelligent Emily (4) is staying with the Edwards', their infant daughter Eleah and their 4 year old twins John and Ana. Isaac (3), better known as The Dumptruck, is staying with the Becks, Aaron (4?5?) and born on the same day as Isaac - Madison. It's awesome to have loved ones willing to care for your children while you are off having an incredible time at the best roller-coaster park in the country!
"Here's to good friends, tonight is kind of special...."
